So it's Sunday fun day! We started our morning with an amazing hike!! The weather has been so beautiful out here the past few weeks!! We've really taken advantage of being able to get out side! Our total hike was just about two hours, and 4 miles! We climed about 80 flights of stairs! Such a beautiful day. And what's great is our younger dog, Fry, loves to go hiking with us!

When we got home we had lunch! Some awesome salmon and asparagus. So yummy!! I'll post that recipie at the end of this post for all of you! I also started working on meal preping for the week.

Today I was chocked full of energy, and ready to rock and roll!! Zero cravings!! It's pretty amazing! I went to my parents for the evening and made my own version of what they were having and also got me some "ice cream" I can have!  But the urge to cheat is not there at all!

So Josh and I tend to work complete opposite meals, so I try to make enough meals for 5-6 days. I'll make enough of each dish to feed us twice, so I make 5-6 different meals for the week! Now most Arbonne coaches give a meal plan out that is amazing to follow, but I love coming up with my own. I will fail if I follow someone else's meal plan haha. I also have a lot of allergies to food. So I have to be careful!

For our meals this week it was $100 for 10 meals, which makes it out to be $5 per meal per person. Not bad right? I splurged a little for today's lunch with salmon and asparagus cause neither were on sale! I shop primarily at King Soopers, being that we both work for the company, and they have a great line of organics with their simple truth line!

This week we are having...

Sweet potato Brussels sprout hash with chicken
Steak rellenos
Frittata
Quinoa and mushroom with chicken
Pizza (yes pizza)
And then the salmon we had for lunch today!

So that's all to report for today!! Good luck to those of you starting tomorrow! I'll be posting my first week results tomorrow with weigh in! I cannot wait!!!!!

Baked Salmon Packets

I just have to say, be prepared for a vitamin power packed dinner with this recipe!!! Sooooo good too! I'm talking about baked salmon packets, filled with spinach, tomatoes, and salmon!! Yummy!!

A lot of people don't like the sound of only being able to have a protein and veggie for lunch and dinner during the 24 day advocare challenge, but I have had so much fun coming up with different recipes for it!! And I'm finding in really enjoying all the veggies!!!

Ok ok, enough talking!! Recipe time!! And remember I'm cooking for 2...so adjust as needed!

(And yes that is a Twinkie box you see at the top... Hey I did do a post on its ok to chat some times!!)

Salmon spinach packets

2 6 oz portions of salmon
1 vineripe tomato diced
1bunch of spinach chopped up
1/2 a lemon juiced
1/4 yellow onion diced
Canola oil (or olive)
1 T dried oregano
1 T dried thyme
1 pat of butter (you can omit if you want)
Salt and pepper to taste
Parchment paper

Preheat Oven to 375

Brush one side of the salmon with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Set aside

Combine tomato, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, and a punch of salt and pepper. Set aside

(This looked good enough to eat on its own!)

Now to start building the packets!! Take a square of parchment paper and law in a flat surface. Law down spinach, then 1/2 the diced onion. Place a salmon filet on top then top that with 1/2 the tomato mixture!

Bring up two of the sides together, gently roll down until it hits the top of the tower, fold under the other two sides and place on the cookie sheet. Repeat process for other salmon filet!

Bake packets for 30 mins.

Gently unwrap the packet and place in a plate with all the juices... Now enjoy!!!

I hope you like them as much as I did!!

Now just to show some results from my advocare experience. Just a face shot, but it shows a lot! I lost 10 lbs and 12 inches on the 24 day challenge!!

A lot of you ask what is advocare?

85% of how you look feel and perform has to do with nutrition and supplementation. It's hard to explain the 24 Day Challenge exactly by text but simply, the 24 Day Challenge is an all-inclusive diet, exercise (optional) and nutritional solutions program that includes FREE coaching throughout! The Challenge cleans the system out gently and ramps up your body's fat burning! It is NOT a "fad" diet or anything like that...you do still eat real food and such, just coordinated to the two Phases of the Challenge.

we start everyone out with a 24 day challenge. A basic challenge includes meal replacement shakes, omeaplex, spark, herbal cleanse, and MNS3.

The meal replacement shakes are usually for breakfast or if you don't have time to eat a healthy meal. They are completely balanced and have everything you need.

The omeaplex is an omega-3 fatty acid replacement that helps promote health blood flow and pressure. It also helps with cardiovascular health and boosts your immune system and metabolism.

Spark is an energy drink that is sugar free and contains 21 vitamins to help provide a healthy balanced source of energy. It won't make you jittery or crash.

The herbal cleanse you use on the first 10 days of the challenge. It's a metabolic cleansing system that helps rid the body of toxins and waste. It helps improve digestion. It won't make you have to run to the bathroom though.

And the MNS-3 is a comprehensive system for weight loss through the use of proper vitamin supplementation. It provides you with core nutrition and sustained-release energy.

There are also companion products you can use with the challenge such as catalyst, which I am currently using!

Catalyst is not required for a challenge but is nice to have because it is an amino acid supplement that helps protect and keep your muscles strong during dieting or workouts.
